Pull on your hiking boots for a countdown of Britain’s favourite walks. Based on the results of the largest survey ever conducted into the UK’s hiking habits, here are the top 100 routes as voted for by more than 8,000 walking enthusiasts.

Thursday 7th July- Sunday 10th July

Again self sufficient, wild camping en route with all our kit. The Ridgeway is a long distance walk which takes in some of our best known ancient landmarks, from the World Heritage Avebury stones, to the White Horse and Castle at Uffington, with the route reaching its climactic end at Ivinghoe Beacon. It’s another of our National Trails and is 87 miles long, though it can be easily accessed and walked in shorter sections
